Eric and Tammy Koz, a young couple in love, wanted children desperately. When Tammy was diagnosed with lupus, however, their dreams nearly slipped away.
Eric and Tammy shared their moving tale on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2004. After a devastating miscarriage, Tammy was thrilled to learn she was pregnant again. The pregnancy seemed to be going well until, at 19 weeks, an ultrasound showed that the baby was not growing as expected. At 27 weeks, the doctor told Tammy that she had to deliver the baby immediately or the baby would die.
During the C-section, the doctor knew as soon as she pulled out the little girl, soon to be named Zoe, that she was breathing just fine. Twelve years later, miracle baby Zoe is an active and outgoing 13-year-old. Here, the Oprah: Where Are They Now? team catches up with the Koz family: Tammy, Eric, Zoe and their younger daughter, Faith.
